Vintage Construction Documents, Paint Colors, Kitchens and Purchase Order for Starlite Vista Homes by Ralph Haver AIA

For Colson Construction Company and Southwest Development Company At 15th Avenue and Glenn Drive

Starlite Vista was an affordably-priced neighborhood built circa 1956 in the northern reaches of 15th Avenue near Glendale Avenue, just south of the the area known as Sunnyslope. Homes were advertised as starting at $13,500. Haver's business partner, Jimmie Nunn FAIA, lived in one of the first homes built there, and like many, added on to it over the years as the homes were designed to be easily expansible.

We've acquired some of the original documentation and a purchase order from a couple named William and Doris Burruss, who were upgrading from one Ralph Haver neighborhood, Country Club Apartments, to Starlite Vista. Original paint color options, kitchen layouts and construction details are all provided here for those wishing to restore their Starlite Vista Homes.
