The Modernism of Julius Shulman A film presented by No Festival Required and Woodesign with an introduction by Eddie Jones, Architect.  Whiteman Hall at The Phoenix Art Museum 1625 East Central Avenue Visual Acoustics celebrates the life and career of Julius Shulman, the world’s greatest architectural photographer, whose images brought modern architecture to the American mainstream. Shulman, who passed away in 2009, captured the work of nearly every modern architect since the 1930s including Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner and Frank Gehry. This film is a testament to the evolution of modern architecture and a joyful portrait of the magnetic, whip-smart gentleman who chronicled it. 1 - 3 pm

By Reed Kroloff, Director of the Cranbrook Academy of Art and former professor at ASU. Post-war Phoenix gave rise to a new school of thought in contemporary architecture. Mr. Kroloff reviews the rise of what he has termed the "Arizona School." 2 pm
