Yep, faggotize is actually a real term used all across the land, but usually only in enlightened circles. Leave it to "those gay folks" who boldly go where....er....no man has gone before. I first heard it back in the `80's in NYC..............
To those who are offended by DG's post, I suggest you might take it in the spirit intended. Oh, and lighten up. Y'all can't micro-manage everything.
Mr. Natural, whatta you, George Carlin?
Someone, please, warn me not to be taking a sip of anything while checking up on these posts.................

Thanks Alison and Justin for taking the posting in the spirit it was intended to be.

I don't feel like defending it BUT since it looks like some people took offense I will calrify that I am gay and that the posting was written in a very funny-jokingly-spirited way. Unfortunately, for a lot of you fellas , there are a lot of gay people in your communities and like it or not we are here to stay...and yes, we'll keep "faggotizing" Phoenix neighborhoods one at a time.

Do yourself a favor and lighten up.
Cheers.

Homeloaf (hōm·lōf)

Plural form of homeslice; used when addressing a group of homies.

Example:

To one homie: "Peace out, homeslice"
To a group of homies: "Peace out, homeloaf"

Don't doubt me, I work on the west siieeedddeee boy. Almost west of I-17. And 90% of my homeslices live west of I-17.

Fo' shizzle.

No estoy tratando mentir, yo.

PS I'm working on the MG signs we be throwin.

Modern Goggles
Pronounced like it sounds.

The ablility to switch on and off at will, much like a superhero, the ability to SEE a building's modern bones beneath years of neglect, improvements and plain old stucco.

"Well yeah, it's in pretty rough shape, but put on your modern goggles and its paradise!"

"Dude, take OFF your modern goggles and keep your eyes on the road. We're late enough as it is!"

You end up sleeping in a really ugly house. Until death do you part.

Haver Flavor
Pronunciation: it rhymes.

Any home that has typically characteristic Ralph Haver lines but simply hasn't been validated yet. Often cited on ModPhx as "unconfirmed Havers".

"That block in Maryvale so has the Haver Flavor. To bad nobody has pulled the blueprints."

Driveby
Pronounced like it sounds. Gee.

To make a deliberate detour out of one's normal path in order to scope out a specific street or property -- in particular to check progress, look for new listings and FSBOs.

"We haven't been to Earl Drive in ages, lets do a driveby on our way to IHOP."

FSBO
Pronounced Fizbow

A property up For Sale By Owner.

"You have got to do a driveby down Cheery Lynn today... there's two FSBOs and they won't last long."

"Wow, that FSBO is still there and its been... three months?"
