Who's the architect (University area)?

Does anyone know the name(s) of the architect(s) who built homes in the University area, specifically a home at 144 E. University? Appreciate any help, thanks!

I don't know about 144 E University but a house across the street is featured in "A Guide to tucson Architecture" it's 145 E University and known as the Bayless Houses. Built 1905 by Trost and Rust. What is the style and age of the proprety in question? Can you post a pic? If it's a Bungalow it might be a kit or built from generic plans by an owner/builder. A picture would really help, the image on google earth isn't good enough as the house is blocked by trees a th the street... Other architects who built in the area were Henry Jaastad and just a couple things by Josias Joesler (the bldg w/ IBT's in it on 4th ave, and the AZ historical society) Other than that most houses in west university are kits, from plan books or simply owner built...

Thank you Jim! The researcher I"m working with, Mike Speelman (520-792-4178), says he thinks it was a kit as well. We ruled out Joessler and Jaastad due to timing; wasn't sure about Trost. Don't know how it got posted on Modern Phoenix site, but appreciate the information and I passed it on to Mike. There is a connection to an early member of the Ronstadt family. It's now known as the Big Blue House and is absolutely gorgeous.

Where would a person begin to search for information about the history of the architect and builder of a particular house or group of houses (i.e. as in a development) in Tucson, say, from the time period of 1930 up to present? What part of local, city, county, or state government would be responsible for keeping this type of information on file and is it a matter of "public record" and therefore, available to the non-professional and/or non-credentialed person? Thanks for any and all suggestions!
