I guess this will be another one of those posts about a ruined MCM building.
My wife and I went to Gila Bend last week to get some pics of a Beadle motel, and sure enough, the place is basically ruined- painted all clown colors and run down. They did seem to be renovating parts of it, but they have a looooong wat to go.
There is a picture of a motel in the "Constructions" book, and it says that it is in Yuma. I am thinking that the one in the picture is actually the one in Gila Bend. My secret Beadle source didn't remember any motels that he did in Yuma, but did direct me to the one in Gila Bend. I hereby declare by the power vested in me that the one in the book is not in Yuma. Unless anybody has evidence otherwise.
Point being, the picture in the book shows a marvelously swank MCM motel, and what I found last week was a pretty depressing mess. I am sure that at this point Al would want it just torn down. So, I am going to go down there tomorrow to tear it down. Kidding.
