Many thanks to Marie Jones of house #6 on this year's home tour for giving us access to this wonderful artifact. When I first saw this brochure lying out on her kitchen island I literally gasped aloud. Holding this ephemera in hand made the entire tour for me. As a fan of retro graphic design and illustration I was captivated by the limited color, typographical treatment and the charming Bird of Paradise illustration. But what really caught my eye were the architectural renderings, and particularly the pen and inkwork. The marketing copy isn't that bad, either.

How cool will that be in a year or so from now that you see MLS listings start to market that a home is the X-300 model, aka the Ocotillo!?!?

I know where you can still get a Saguaro/ X-100.

One of the neighbors told me that they moved some of the homes when the Highway 51 went in. If it is true, I wonder where they ended up.

They didn't move them- the demolished them.
I used to live in that neighborhood... (Back when I was pure and wholesome)
2 of my good buddies (Mom's and Dad's) lost their homes.
