My snakes have worked so far *fingers crossed* I saw a pigeon on the roof only once or twice....
I've talked it up so much that a few of my clients have asked me to order some rubber snakes for them. (riveting salon conversations!)
Hopefully they will have the same results.

well the latest update is that the bean pods on the orchid trees are literally exploding and shooting beans everywhere. last night it was like ricochet time with the beans bouncing off the table, the roof, everywhere. the damn dirty birds find the beans totally irresistible. one of them was even eating beans just behind the rattlesnake but he sure did look nervous.

i think i'm going to let this issue slide for a while until the beans stop popping and then i will bring in reinforcement snakes...

m-love might be right about the snakes looking dead.

j-to-tha-c is probably right about needing some live snakes.

btw, to girl pigeons look like morning-doves or are those morning doves that look like morning doves?

Pigeons (rock pigeons), both male and female, look similar.

Mourning doves look entirely different, and are well known for their unique song

Hey Matthew-
Did funbythedozens ever deliver your snakes or did you have to get them locally? I ordered on the 10th and nothin'.

I've promised the magic of the snakes to friends and clients and they're expecting me to deliver.
I can't even get the online store to respond!

...maybe there's a rubber shortage.

No they never delivered or responded to any emails. I have been meaning to alert my CC company. I got my snakes at Easley's (sp?) costume shop across from My Florist.

They have charged my card yet. I googled them and it looks like they have an ebay acct with crappy feedback.

I knew it was too good to be true.

The rubber shortage is caused by the large order of rubber dogs that I put in.

Sorry. 8)

well I hope those rubber dogs are workin' for you. I've been running outside to scream at the few brave pigeons. I feel like the crazy neighborhood lady that shakes her fist at ya when you're driving down her street too fast.

I hear that insulting the pigeons helps get rid of them.
For example;
"Hey pigeon, why is your face so much chunkier than the other pigeons?"
or:
"Hey, pigeon, I commend you for being able to hang out with all your so- called pigeon buddies when all they do is call you a jackass behind your back".

These are some good examples of what has worked for me in the past.
