At some point I need to run power to the shed as well. I've drilled a hole between the doors in the front frame/flooring to allow conduit to run down to the ground, and then I'd run it underground over to the house panel. I talked to my electrician about it when he was out for something else. Then I can stop charging my cordless tools in the laundry room, which would make my wife much happier!

Your an architect?
A couple of things I noticed. Your roofing does not overhang your fascia and since you didn't use a drip edge or flashing, your framing and trim are going to get wet and rot. The slope of the roof is sending water onto the wall or over the wall. If that isn't your property, I am pretty sure that is a code violation. Upper and lower ventilation will help cool it some. It's going to be one hot box without it. Second, read your owners manual on cordless tools, "Do not store or use the tool and battery pack in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 105 F (such as outside sheds or metal buildings in summer.)" I certainly wouldn't store and charge them in the shed. Can't help using them outdoors when it is over 105 in Arizona but,...

The front flashing is on order. They don't carry the ones that match the roofing in the store here. There's a small gap between the side fascias and roofing to promote drainage. Since the roof overlaps the shed walls, it won't get inside. The roofing in the rear overlaps the wall, so it doesn't all dump inside the wall. My property extends further than the wall (not sure why they built the wall that way), so drainage isn't an issue.

Once I have power, I'm thinking of a small fan to promote air flow through the shed. It's going to be warm, no doubt. As for the tools, they've been stored in a shed for the past 7 years with no Ill effects.

Great thread. We have an outdated storage shed that will be needed to be replaced so your project has provided some great ideas. Any updated photos?

I need to put the trim on the doors and window, and then I will.

After going out this morning to make sure my shed stayed waterproof during last night's storm (it did! :D ), I decided to snap a quick picture. As you can see, I still have to do the trim around the doors and window. The past month or so has been really hectic, and I just haven't gotten to that part.

I'm thinking of doing either raised rock beds or planters around the shed to eliminate the "floating" look of it. I have to do some more planning on the rest of the back yard first.
