I looked into it, they're asking 245K... awesome in my mind compared to the one right next door for sale. I havn't seen the inside, but the tenant of the property allowed me to look over into the backyard and front porch area, needs some landscaping, but still has potential. All in all, if anyone would consider this neighborhood a possibility for themselves, it could definetly be something cool. Thanks for the update hector!

I've heard (read) the neighborhood called Rancho Vista on this forum. However the streets signs read "Rancho Ventura"

I volunteer to help keep the area clean. Keep an eye out for blight and shady characters. Drive at safe speed through our streets. Get involved with our neighborhood association to maximize the area's potential. And to be a friendly neighbor.

I believe the reason why I have used the term Rancho Vista before is that is what the County Assessor's website says the original subdivision was called. I don't have access to a PC right now but if somebody wants to double check it, I'm pretty sure that's why.

Irie, your concerns are valid. You seem like you'd make a caring neighbor and a positive contribution to our neighborhood. Good luck on finding a place.

This particular house seems pretty clean, in the sense that the structure has not been overly modified, keeping its Haver-ness nearly intact. It does face out toward McDowell and that’s probably not its best trait, since it will likely see a bit more traffic than we see on the other streets just north.

You could be the anchor that turns that street around, and together we can, as Alex has suggested, move the entire neighborhood in a more positive direction.

As for the price? I can’t begin to understand what drives the real estate market. Some sort of insanity along with voodoo and maybe a twist of hijinks.

Thanks for the info on the name PixelPixie. My only source is one of these signs that sit atop the street names, and our neighborhood association is Rancho Ventura. It would be good to know what area defines Rancho Vista.

Can anyone shed light on this?
