Stumbled across this one while looking at the the property next door.

A very interesting history. The lot once was owned by Fred Woodworth, the contractor who built these houses. The original owners liked the houses down around Palm Lane & 44th Street, but not their location. So Fred Woodworth built them a house on the lot he once owned.

Same/similar story is told about another T&C model in "The Ranch Home" by Alan Hess, but in the Marian Estates neighborhood.

I drove by the house pictured on the back cover of Hess' book which is located around 44th Street and Stanford. It has been wonderfully remodeled. What a view of the camel's head and the monk!
