Want a Masters degree in interior architecture?

ASU has recruited me to teach their fall studio of the brand new (like came in to being 2 weeks ago) Masters of Interior Architecture. They want to launch it summer 2012 but need 6 students so I volunteered to get the word out. I would LOVE to teach a studio with only 6 students – what a great experience for those lucky few! It is a summer plus 3 year masters program that takes people with a bachelors degree in ANYTHING and ramps them up and then mainstreams them into the graduate school design program. If there is anyone out there who has always wanted to be a designer, this is a great way to do it. The deadline to lauch for 2012 is pretty tight…they need 6 students by early May.

New to the board, curious if the program is underway. How is is going? Since its a 3+ program is there a chance it is accredited and if so what accreditation is it?

Long story but here is the summary update...they did get enough students to launch this fall (barely) but since it was barely, they reshuffled full time faculty to cover the studio and I am not officially involved...yet...next year they will have more time to get more students and so hopefully it will be more robust. I assume it is an accredited degree since it is actually part of the official college - call and check if you are interested and maybe I will see you next fall!

there were several new 3+ programs that the Design School began this past summer. Interior Architecture (interior design), Visual Communication Design (graphic design), Industrial Design, and maybe the landscape architecture 3+ program was new too. I applied, was admitted, and have begun one of these 3+ programs. Gonna keep which one on the down low, but it's not the interior architecture.
