In the process of ripping out carpeting, we decided that the painted wood paneling in the bedroom should go as well.

One would figure, if the house looked like this when we bought it, how bad could it be?

LESSON #246 - be careful when engaging in demo - you might end up with something that actually looks worse than what you started out with. The good part is that now we are completely justified in spending more more to cover that stuff up.
