Kids & "Trail-a-bikes" vs. trailers

Postby Sophia on Wed Dec 22, 2010 8:18 am

I have a 4-year old and I am considering either a trail-a-bike or a trailer for going places over 2 miles RT with him.

Has anyone done either of these options? Do you know of a good bike forum where I could read pro's & con's?

Thanks in advance.

In my experience a Trail a Bike is the funnest of options for the young ones. Since the child is able to assist pedaling, its also a bit easier. As long as your little one has the concept of hanging on, I say go trail-a-bike!

We're having fun with a trailer. Starbuck is only 19 months, belts keep him in place. Short runs to grocery, restaurants.
