Most of Coronado High School was demolished in 2006 to make room for a new state-of-the-art campus. The Coronado campus is best known for its bold folded plate roofline and the student-created mural, both of which have been preserved to some extent. Coronado is somewhat dear to my heart, as it is where my parents (both high school teachers) first met and married in the late 60s.
